Card show FAQ

Short answers to the questions we get the most. New to shows? Start with the first-timer's guide.

Are card shows free to get into?

Many are free, and some charge a small entry fee, often around $2 to $10. Each show page lists admission when the organizer has told us.

What should I bring to a card show?

Cash in small bills, a charged phone, a want list, penny sleeves and top loaders, and your trade binder if you plan to trade.

Do vendors take debit, credit or e-transfer?

Cash is the most common. Many vendors accept Interac e-transfer and some take card. Check the show page for payment details, and bring cash either way.

Can I sell or trade my cards at a show?

Yes. Most vendors buy and trade. Expect buy offers below online sold prices, since vendors need room to resell.

Are card shows good for kids?

Yes. Most shows are family friendly and kids are welcome. Many vendors have low-priced boxes that are great for younger collectors.

Do shows have Pokémon and other TCGs, or just sports cards?

Most shows today have both. Each show page lists what's there when the organizer tells us.

How do I list my card show?

Use the Add your show form. It's free. We check every show before it goes live.

How do I get told about new shows near me?

Sign up for show emails on the home page or any show page and pick your province. You can unsubscribe any time.

A show's details are wrong. How do I fix it?

Send the show again through Add your show and say what changed in the details box, or message us on Instagram at @canadacardshows.

Can I advertise my card shop on the site?

Yes. See Advertise for the spots available.
